OUR ROOTS

Bridging the Gap VVA was founded on a simple but powerful belief: no service member, veteran, or family should have to navigate the aftermath of sexual assault, domestic violence, military sexual trauma, or suicide alone.

While Minnesota is home to exceptional military, veteran, and victim service organizations, too often these resources operate independently, creating gaps that leave survivors struggling to find the support they need.

Recognizing this need, Bridging the Gap VVA was established to unite military installations, veteran organizations, community victim service agencies, tribal communities, and other partners into a coordinated statewide network.

Our goal is to strengthen collaboration, improve access to survivor-centered, trauma-informed services, and ensure that active-duty service members, National Guard members, Reservists, veterans, and their families receive compassionate, seamless support.

From our roots of partnership and shared purpose, we are building a future where every military-connected individual has access to the resources, advocacy, and hope they deserve.
